 Keith Urban Announces Tour Dates - Get Closer 2011 World Tour Will Hit 44 Cities in the U.S.
Keith Urban will be performing concerts in 44 U.S. cities during his Get Closer 2011 World Tour that launches June 16 in Mobile, Ala. The announcement was made Monday (Nov. 22).
The Keith Urban tour will stop in several major markets, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, D.C.
"Playing live is what it's always been about for me," Keith Urban said. "It's creating in the moment. It's the joy, the electricity, the unexpected, the passion and the unknown journey that we're all taking together. I've always felt that the best live concert experiences tap into a deep need in all of us to feel a part of something ... to belong. I'm bringing the big boom box and an arsenal of songs, and I can't wait to throw this party!"
Keith Urban last week released a new album, Get Closer, containing his current single, "Put You in a Song." His five previous albums have been certified platinum or multi-platinum.
Opening acts will be announced at a later date. Ticket sales begin in February 2011. For more information, keep checking this website.

After long demand, we are happy to announce that Keith Urban has announced his first North America 2011 Tour Dates. Keith Urban has released the beginnnig of their 2011 tour dates and they begin in June in Mobile Alabama and go all the way through October 2011. Keith Urban Announces 2011 Tour, Says New Songs Are Gonna Soar in Concert :
 While the Keith Urban have been tweeting and Facebooking mini updates from Studio 606 as they record their next album, today frontman Dave Grohl went on Zane Lowe’s program on BBC Radio 1 to give a few firmer updates.
First, the Keith Urban will be playing two shows at the Milton Keynes Bowl in July 2011. Supporting them on these dates will be Scottish alternative act Biffy Clyro, plus Death Cab for Cutie and Jimmy Eat World on one date each. These are the only known dates for the Keith Urban in 2011, but somehow I doubt Dave Grohl, who seemingly never sleeps while there is rock n’ roll to be made, will be content with just two shows next year. Hell, as he put it, “2011, you’re not gonna be able to get us out of your hair.”
While on the show, Grohl also teased a few tidbits about the Keith Urban seventh studio album, the follow-up to 2007′s brilliant Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. According to Grohl, this new album will be the rockiest Foo album yet, featuring “no acoustic guitars”. That said, it will feature all manner of special guests, notably Grohl’s former bandmate from Nirvana Krist Novoselic on at least one song, as well as Husker Dü frontman Bob Mould on a song Grohl referred to as “Dear Rosemary”.
This is all fairly light information, and Grohl said only about 7 of the album’s rumored 14 songs are finished. But it’s still the most concrete news we’ve heard from the Keith Urban in a couple years, which is more than enough to warrant some excitement.

Keith Urban Biography
Although born in New Zealand and raised in nearby Australia, Keith Urban made his biggest splash in Nashville, where he helped rewrite the rules of contemporary country music. By embracing drum loops and elements of Top 40 pop, Urban wrote songs that appealed to a wide audience, effectively satisfying his Nashville fans without alienating those more accustomed to pop music. He also became a genuine celebrity, known for his good looks, marriage to Nicole Kidman, and outspoken battle with alcoholism.
